This is a rare Edwardian Romantic Staffordshire cup and saucer made by the Thomas Forester and Sons Ltd. Phoenix china, England in 1900-1915.
The antique blue transferware cup and saucer is in a pattern called Florentine and is rarely seen. This is often called flow blue as well, but is slightly more recent than that period.
The cup stands 3 inches high and is 3 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter.
The Romantic Staffordshire design features Roman ruins and a classical landscape and is in very good used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restorations.
The cup and saucer was once rimmed with gold but that is almost all gone. The set would be a wonderful decorative accent to any tea table.
